Examples of the diverse range of public and private sector project work completed in recent years:

NW Manchester Pathology Review
The North West Manchester Pathology Review is a collaborative project between Wigan and Salford hospitals to share their pathology services in line with the recommendations of the Lord Carter Report of 2008. The aim of the project is to make 20% cost savings whilst improving quality by 20%. We have project managed the review from inception to full business case and we are now in the implementation phase. The new service, centralised at Salford went live on April 1st 2012.

Littlewoods/Shop Direct Merger
Project planning role working on Europe’s largest retail integration project. Shop Direct merged with Littlewoods to create the largest home shopping network in the country.

The Highways Agency
Successfully managed and supported the introduction of a new time recording system for 2000 staff around the country. Delivering a complex project which involved a large amount of ‘hearts and minds’ work as it delivered a big culture change for the civil servants involved.

GP Commissioning Services
Responsible for the delivery of 4 GP Practices and 2 GP Led Health Centres for GTD Primary Care Ltd (GoToDoc Ltd). This included GP Led Health Centres opened in Oldham and Manchester City Centre and GP Practices in Moston (Manchester), Coldhurst (Oldham), Kirkholt (Rochdale) and Heywood.

NHS Service and Site Review
Acting Strategic Projects Manager for North West NHS Foundation Trust. Responsible for the Trusts’ £26m Service and Site Review and Investment Programme.

NHS Decontamination Programme joint venture
Managed two NHS Decontamination Programme joint venture projects to transfer theatre sterile services units to the private sector (Central Lancs & North Sefton and Herts & Beds Decon Programme).
